Kevin Thomas, CPA

Kevin is a Senior Accountant in the Tax Department at Puryear & Noonan CPAs, where he specializes in tax preparation for partnerships, corporations, individuals, nonprofits, and trusts. Since joining the firm in 2021, he has earned a reputation for resolving complex tax issues with the IRS and making sense of even the most complicated books. Kevin enjoys tackling intricate tax situations and is motivated by giving clients clarity and peace of mind so they can make confident financial decisions.

Kevin graduated from Furman University in Greenville, SC, with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and later completed his Certificate in Accountancy at Lipscomb University in Nashville to pursue his CPA designation. Prior to joining P&N, he gained valuable accounting and tax experience at a local business management firm. He especially appreciates Puryear & Noonan’s family-oriented, supportive environment, which he contrasts with the competitive culture he’s seen at larger firms.

Outside of work, Kevin treasures spending time with his wife, Lauren, and their young daughter, Genevieve. A true film enthusiast, he can talk about everything from classic noir to modern thrillers, and he also enjoys concerts, travel, Nashville Predators games, Peloton and boxing classes, and exploring local dining spots. A life-changing volunteer trip to Amman, Jordan, during high school with Operation Smile sparked his commitment to service—a legacy he continues to honor through his family’s ongoing involvement in medical mission work.
