Tax Manager

Puryear & Noonan, CPAs, one of Nashville’s top ten locally owned CPA firms, is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our growing firm.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations, within applicable deadlines
  • Management of multiple engagements
  • Review staff prepared tax returns (corporate, fiduciary, partnership, non- profit and individual)
  • Provide training, leadership, supervision and beneficial performance feedback to staff
  • Develop, build and manage client relationships and communications

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience
  • Thorough knowledge of the tax reporting process
  • Highly proficient at meeting deadlines and problem solving
  • Strong communication, leadership and staff development skills
  • Strong sense of ownership
  • Team Player
  • BA in Accounting or MA in Taxation
  • Active CPA License required

Tax Senior

Puryear & Noonan, CPAs, one of Nashville’s top ten locally owned CPA firms, is seeking a knowledgeable Senior Tax Associate to join our growing firm.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare corporate, fiduciary, partnership, non-profit and individual income tax returns
  • Respond to tax notices and other issues with government agencies
  • Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within applicable deadlines
  • Build relationships and maintain client relationships
  • Identify and mitigate tax risks
  • Maintain tax balances on general ledger
  • Prepare all tax papers in regular basis and handle all information data requests

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Diversified tax background
  • At least 3 years of public accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of tax software and MS Office
  • Highly proficient at meeting deadlines and problem solving
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both staff and clientele
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • BA in Accounting or MA in Taxation
  • CPA License preferred
