Chris Golden

Chris is a Tax Manager at Puryear & Noonan CPAs, where he specializes in helping clients navigate complex tax laws and solving problems across a variety of industries. A Nashville native and graduate of Lipscomb University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Chris brings years of experience working with local CPA firms in both tax and accounting departments.
His background includes preparing corporate and individual tax returns as well as providing monthly bookkeeping services such as payroll taxes, sales tax, liquor taxes and licenses, and business tax filings.

What Chris values most about P&N is the collaborative culture and the opportunity to build direct relationships with clients and colleagues. Unlike at prior firms where partner-only communication limited connections, Chris appreciates being able to work closely with clients, explain complex issues in clear and practical terms, and build trust by being both approachable and reliable.

In addition to his client work, Chris is proud to manage and mentor a team, helping colleagues build confidence in tax preparation and problem-solving. Known for his ability to blend the creative side of problem-solving with technical expertise, he brings both precision and fresh perspective to his work.

Outside of the office, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, weekends at the lake, and staying active through sports. At home, he’s happiest playing with his sons, his three dogs and enjoying Nashville life with the people closest to him.
