Catherine Denson, CPA

Catherine is a Senior Manager in Puryear & Noonan’s Audit Department with more than thirty years of experience serving clients across a wide range of industries and sizes. While she is known for her deep expertise in nonprofit organizations and grant accounting—a highly complex area she navigates with skill—she also enjoys the variety of clients she serves, from small community groups to larger organizations.

Catherine takes pride in building long-term client relationships and staying in touch throughout the year, assisting with accounting issues related to new programs and unique challenges as they arise. Her ability to simplify complexity and provide clarity allows clients to feel confident and supported.

A Nashville native, Catherine graduated from Harpeth Hall School before earning her B.A. in Business Administration from Rhodes College, where she also met her husband, David. Together they live in Nashville and have two grown children and two dogs, and they enjoy spending family time in Beersheba Springs on the Cumberland Plateau. Outside of work, Catherine loves Pilates, reading, hiking, traveling, and exploring great food—and she’s always up for a good science fiction story.
