Rachel Garland

Rachel Garland is part of the Accounting Services Department at Puryear & Noonan CPAs, where she supports clients with bookkeeping and day-to-day financial needs. She loves the challenge of problem-solving—putting the pieces of a financial puzzle together until everything fits perfectly. Energized by the opportunity to deliver a complete and accurate final product, Rachel brings persistence, focus, and a detail-oriented approach to every client relationship.

Her favorite part of working at Puryear & Noonan is the strong leadership team. She values the thoughtful decisions made by the partners and the way the firm creates an environment of trust, collaboration, and growth. Rachel is especially proud of her own professional journey: she began at the firm on the administrative team with little accounting knowledge, earned her degree, and has since grown into her accounting role.

Rachel was born and raised in Nashville, later spending 14 years in Florida before moving back to Tennessee in 2014. She earned her degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida and spent three years as an elementary school teacher before transitioning into accounting. She later completed her Accounting degree from Western Governors University, further expanding her technical knowledge to better serve clients.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys puzzles (she almost always has one in progress), walking and training her dog, and staying active in her church community. She also loves cooking, baking, road trips, and line dancing.

At Puryear & Noonan CPAs, Rachel reflects the firm’s mission of Creating GREAT experiences for our clients and team by combining her curiosity, dedication, and people-first approach to everything she does.
