Ron Wood, CPA

Ron is a Partner Emeritus at Puryear & Noonan CPAs, bringing more than four decades of experience in tax strategy and planning. Since joining the firm in 1982 and becoming a Partner in 1989, Ron has worked primarily with high net worth individuals and their businesses, offering trusted guidance rooted in both technical expertise and a deep understanding of client needs.

Known for his quiet leadership and remarkable knowledge, Ron has been an invaluable mentor to younger staff members, generously sharing the wisdom he has built throughout his career. His colleagues consistently recognize him as a steady, approachable presence who leads by example, embodying the firm’s values of loyalty, humility, and empathy.

Ron is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and has spent his career helping clients preserve wealth, grow their businesses, and navigate the complexities of tax compliance and planning.

Outside the office, Ron enjoys riding his motorcycle, traveling with family and friends, and most recently, spending time with his new baby granddaughter—who has him absolutely smitten. Married to his high school sweetheart, Ron is a devoted husband, father of two daughters, and now a proud grandfather.
